前言
鄰近中國的日本及韓國藝術因為中國藝術的茁壯也快速地成長起來，而這兩個國家的藝術有它們本身的強烈特質。

日本的當代藝術設計感強烈，草間彌生為其重要藝術家。草間彌生在歐美已經有很高成就，她很早就將那瘋狂、可愛的小點點與服裝、傢俱、手提包等作結合。天野喜孝透過動畫、電玩來推動邪氣般的插畫藝術。而日本中青代藝術家，如奈良美智、村上隆，對世界的可愛卡通藝術更是具有先導的作用。

韓國的藝術家對材質的探索及立體作品的多樣發展是全世界有目共睹的。金昌烈在國際藝術史上已經有非常高的地位，他早期就對在材質上的創作有着不少的研究，對韓國當代藝術有着很大的影響。而李容得的作品，虛和實、光和影的矛盾利用極致，也是韓國典型的立體藝術家代表。

在中國藝術發光的同時，也吸引了更多人關注亞洲國家的藝術作品，而這些藝術家的作品也值得我們細細的欣賞及瞭解。

Flourishing of Chinese art scene influenced greatly the artdevelopment of other Asian countries, such as Korea andJapan. And both countries’ contemporary art hastheir strong characteristics.

Japanese Contemporary art has a strong designcharacteristic. Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama isalready well known around the world. Her crazyyet cute dots were used in her design for fashion, furniture andhandbags. Yoshitaka Amano introduced his devilishyet romantic illustrative art through animations and videogames. And Yoshitomo Nara and Takashi Murakamiintroduce Super Flat and Cute Culture to the world artcommunity.

Korean artists have in-depth knowledge of materials and threedimensional objects. Kim Tschang Yuel is one ofthe most established Korean artists who worked on variety ofmaterials, such as sand and wood. His way ofexperimenting and creating works influenced a lot of Koreanartists. Lee Yong Deok’s sculpture emphasizes theimportance of light and shadow, negative and positive, which isanother artist with strong Korean characteristic.

The striving of Chinese art scene, directly or indirectlyinfluenced contemporary art of other Asiancountries. And those art works deserve our closeattention as well.
